1. Definitions

• "Agreement" means these Terms & Conditions as updated from time to time.
• "We / Us / Our" means Hearthwise, located at 64 Sukhumvit Soi 49, Khlong Tan Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok 10110, Thailand.
• "You / User" means the individual accessing this website or purchasing a service.
• "Service" means any reading guide, workshop, or reading series offered by Hearthwise.
• "Content" means all text, printed materials, worksheets, and discussion sheets provided by Hearthwise.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a contact form, placing an order, or registering for a workshop, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms. You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

If you are ordering on behalf of a household or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that household or organisation to these Terms.

3. Service Description

Hearthwise offers three services to households in Thailand:

• Family Conversation Reading Guide (฿2,800) — a printed guide posted to your address.
• Document Organisation Workshop for Households (฿9,600) — a half-day in-person workshop held at our Bangkok premises or an agreed venue.
• Family Reading Series on Communication Foundations (฿27,500) — a multi-month mailing programme sending one reading, a discussion sheet, and a glossary each month.

Services are available to households based in Thailand. We do not currently fulfil postal orders outside of Thailand.

4. User Responsibilities

When using our website and services, you agree to:

• Provide accurate contact and delivery information.
• Not reproduce, resell, or distribute any Hearthwise printed or digital content without written permission.
• Use the materials for personal, household educational purposes only.
• Notify us promptly of any change to your postal address during an active reading series subscription.
• Attend workshops at the scheduled time; rescheduling requests require at least 72 hours' advance notice.

5. Intellectual Property

All printed guides, workshop handouts, discussion sheets, and glossaries are the intellectual property of Hearthwise or their respective rights holders. A limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence is granted to the purchasing household for personal use only.

The reading series draws from published cultural and historical material. Attribution is provided within each mailing in accordance with applicable copyright norms.

6. Pricing & Payment

All prices are quoted in Thai Baht (฿) and inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payment is collected prior to dispatch or workshop confirmation. We accept bank transfer, credit card, and other methods confirmed at the time of purchase.

For the Family Reading Series, the full programme fee (฿27,500) is payable at enrolment. Prices are subject to revision; any change will be communicated before it affects existing orders.

7. Delivery & Fulfilment

• Printed Reading Guide — dispatched within 5 working days of confirmed payment. Delivery via Thai postal service or courier to the address provided.
• Document Organisation Workshop — a confirmation with date, time, and location is sent by email within 3 working days of registration.
• Family Reading Series — first mailing dispatched within 10 working days of enrolment; subsequent mailings on a monthly schedule.

We are not responsible for delays caused by postal services or incorrect addresses supplied by the purchaser.

8. Refunds & Cancellations

• Printed Guide — a refund may be requested within 14 days of receipt if the guide arrives damaged or significantly different from its description. Return postage is the purchaser's responsibility.
• Workshop — cancellations made more than 7 days before the workshop date receive a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable but may be transferred to a future session subject to availability.
• Reading Series — the programme fee is non-refundable after the first mailing has been dispatched. If you cancel before dispatch, a full refund is available.

9. Disclaimers

Hearthwise materials are educational and informational in nature. They do not constitute professional advice of any kind — including family, legal, financial, psychological, or social-work advice.

Services are provided on an "as is" basis. We make no representation that particular outcomes will follow from use of our materials. Families are encouraged to seek qualified professional guidance for matters that require it.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Thai law, Hearthwise's total liability for any claim arising from a purchase shall not exceed the amount paid for the relevant service.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from use of our materials or from failure to deliver due to circumstances outside our control (force majeure).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hearthwise, its staff, and its collaborators from any claim, loss, or expense arising from your misuse of our materials, breach of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to cancel a workshop registration or reading series subscription if a participant engages in conduct inconsistent with these Terms. In such circumstances, a proportional refund will be considered.

Sections 5, 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination of this Agreement.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising from them shall first be referred to informal resolution by contacting us at [email protected]. If not resolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts in Bangkok.

Relevant consumer protection is provided under the Thai Consumer Protection Act B.E. 2522 and subsequent amendments.

14. General Provisions

• Entire Agreement — these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between the parties.
• Severability — if any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in full effect.
• Waiver — failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
• Assignment — you may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our written consent.

15. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. For active reading series subscribers, material changes will be notified by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of our services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
